Crazy.

On the way to the car park after dinner tonight, my three-year-old sister's foot nearly got shredded by the side of the escalator. Her shoe however, was completely gone. You know these stories right? How the shoe, or the skirt, or the pant leg gets stuck in between the escalators. I never really took it seriously, and didn't think it could actually happen until i saw it with my own eyes. It was scary. My mom was pulling her like crazy and she wouldn't come out while her foot was being sucked in by the escalator thing. I think the whole of The Gardens heard my mom scream, it was pretty loud. I didn't get to do anything though because my reflex was damn slow for some reason. I just stood there and watched the tug-of-war, my brain trying to wrap itself around what was going on. By the time i realized, my sister was already pulled out, on my dad's shoulders and the escalator had stopped. There was a crowd forming and when they realized it wasn't a snatch theft, they disbanded. I was still by the side, with a o.O look on my face, and the maintenance people and security guards were talking to my mom. My sister's shoe was stuck at the sides, in between the escalator, ripped and dead. It was fucking scary.
